Beschreibung

Criminal policy is no longer a matter only for national legislators. In times of global challenges, such as the war in Ukraine, the climate crisis and digital threats to democracy, the response cannot be a merely national one. This also holds true for new legislation in the field of criminal law. Moreover, an increasing need and new forms of cooperation in criminal matters make it necessary to develop standards that respect human rights as well as the rule of law when crimes shall be investigated and prosecuted across national borders. This conference is dedicated to these various challenges for a modern criminal policy on the European and international level.
